I hate the weather that this country is having lately.
It's raining. Always raining.
I can't play Tennis anymore. Well, my procrastination is partly to be blamed but still the rain is a factor. Hehe. By the way, just to give a small update on what's happening on the Tennis scene, Venus Williams won the WTA Championship in Qatar. Her first Championship title.
She defeated the former cry baby Vera Zvonareva in the finals.
Moving over to Master's Cup...
Men's Singles Qualifiers
Where is Roddick?
Men's Doubles Qualifiers
The Bryan brothers seemed to take the photo shoot a bit seriously.
The pictures look a bit boring but really good at the same time.
I like the warrior statues they had last year. I don't see any 'Shanghai' in here.
The Master's Cup is underway in Shanghai. FedEx just lost to Gilles Simon in the first round. Damn. Rafael Nadal pulled-out by the way. This would have been a very open draw for Federer, but he gets this. A loss to a last minute entry to the Master's Cup. Chances are Fed won't win the tourney, not even reach the semifinals. He's just too 'un-Federer' like this year, except perhaps in the USO. My pick for this tournament is Andy Murray. Hope he does well here.
Anway....
I am beginning to feel that December is fast approaching. But I can't feel Christmas. Why is that?
My current project will go-live in February. There's no time to waste for all those holidays. We will have work on Holiday. Yipee... Yipee for knowing now why I don't feel Christmas coming. I would at least be productive on those days. Not really sure on the eve of New Year, I love my body too much to come to work on that day. I better start to buy gifts as early as now. Since as far as I remember, I have been doing my Christmas shopping every 24th of December since 1999. I have also been buying all those stupid things for a present for too long know. I plan to think of what I really want to give. Gifts that would be a bit age-appropriate to the receiver. hehe.
I have been looking at the items in the mall and I basically see the same things. Maybe it's time for me to go and visit some Christmas Bazaars. Now, what to buy......Uhm, I suppose that as long as it's not a mug or a picture frame then that will be ok. haha.
I really wish to do better this Christmas.

Underneath it all...
On my way to work, while inside the MRT, I saw something familiar peeking out of a girl's pits.
She has her hand on the rail and there it is. In front of me. It's beige. It's a Band-Aid. hehe. Cool.
I suppose that she got the cut from shaving her armpits. Anyhow, I am still yet to figure out why I am blogging about this. I just find it funny. It's ok to do that of course, but would have been better if she didn't wear short sleeves.
Armpits. Band-Aid.
I was once told by my uncle that in China, only prostitutes and celebrities shave their pits. Weird.
Does it follow then that celebrities are just high class prostitutes? hehe.
Armpit shaving is actually pretty foreign to some countries. I read somewhere that europeans don't shave their pits. I saw it too by the way.
Where could have I seen it? LRT. hehe.
Where could have I seen it? LRT. hehe.
But then again, I see Andrea Corr flapping her arms and showing her pits to the world in their concert and it's hairless. Nice.
Do you know that Axilla is the scientific term for armpits? If you do, good for you. Why? I don't know what else to say, that's why. I can feel my Axilla dripping with sweat as I write this.
Band-Aid was invented by Earle Dickson. He supposedly thought of this so she could help his clumsy wife. She always cuts her finger, thus a need arose for a quick remedy to her cuts. Earle thought of Band-Aid. Pretty nice.
I remember that episode in The Simpsons where Homer suddenly had the interest to follow in Thomas Edison's footsteps and even wanted to outdo him in terms of the number of his inventions. QB Stove just suddenly popped in my head. Another invention. A grill invented by a pinoy. You can watch it on ABC-5' s Venta5. haha.
I don't exactly see any coherence in what I have been writing.
Please bear with me.
To my English Teacher in HS, Yes, you're correct. That 'Lacks coherence ' in red ink you wrote on one of my compositions still holds true. hehe.

The Band-Aid(s) of today have become fancy. Transparent, Striped etc.
There's even a blinged-up Band-Aid now. Yahoo! Maybe that girl should use this next time.

Turning Japanese...
For some reason, I happen to suddenly remember this song.
I'm just wondering what this is suppose to tell me.
Does this mean that I'm going to Japan anytime soon? haha..
Anyhow, I love this era. The 90's. This song was so popular back then in the Philippines.
I just have a funny feeling that I'll digress some more in the coming days...

Changing of Guard
It has been days since a new Wimbledon Champion was crowned.
I am not at all shocked by the result. I am just plain disappointed.
Rafael Nadal, Men's Wimbledon Champion 2008.
After fighting for 5 long sets, Roger Federer succumbed his crown to 'Rafa' after netting a forehand. Damn. It must have been a very tough year for him.
He has only won some minor tournaments this year. I'm not used to it.
He lost in the Australian Open semifinal and French Open final. I thought that his loss at the French Open would be the most depressing thing. He was bagelled in that match.
But come Wimbledon, I proved myself wrong. The most depressing loss is yet to come.
Roger Federer probably agrees. He said in an interview that losing this year's Wimbledon is “Probably my hardest loss, by far” .
When Roger lost the 1st set 4-6, I told myself to sleep. I tried to do it but I couldn't. I got up from bed and turned on the TV. Rafa's now leading, 6-4, 6-4. Poof. I know that this is it.
A new champion will be crowned. Federer's backhand is just too vulnerable. Rafa just needs to serve on that side and he gets the point. When he's in danger in a rally, he just gives it to the backhand and he'll win the point.
As shitty as Federer's backhand was, He was still able to push Rafa to 5 sets.
This should make me feel happy. Somehow.
